After the completion of the wine competition, winners are announced at the annual California Grape and Gourmet, a charity event produced by the California State Fair to benefit the Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Fund. This exquisite wine and food tasting event features more than 600 award winning wines and delicious food from nearly 90 of Northern California’s best restaurants.

In addition to a wide variety of impressive wine and foods, guests receive a commemorative wine glass and have the option to purchase several of the award winning wines. Live musical entertainment, an assortment of exceptional cheeses and award winning micro brews (Commercial Cheese and Commercial Craftbrew Competition winners) are also featured.

The thirteenth annual Grape and Gourmet is scheduled for July 10, 2008 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Cal Expo Buildings A and B. Grape and Gourmet tickets go on sale May 15, 2008 and can be purchased online. Tickets will also be sold at the door. Discounted group rates are available for parties of 10 or more.
